Pond netting for debris and leaves
Mesh size is the most important factor when buying netting to protect your pond from leaves and other debris. Smaller mesh sizes, like 1/4 inch, are better for finer debris like pine needles, while larger mesh sizes can handle general leaf coverage.
For fine debris: Use an extra fine mesh netting to catch small particles like pine needles, blossoms, and small seeds. The tight weave can also be an effective deterrent for predators.
For general leaves: A mesh size of 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch is a good all-purpose option for blocking most deciduous leaves and twigs.
